This policy is part of and incorporated into the ToastDog Merchant Terms and Conditions. By purchasing from ToastDog, you agree to this policy.
1. General Return Period
ToastDog offers a limited return period on eligible items. You may request a return for a full refund or exchange on eligible merchandise within 30 days of the date you received the item.
Returns requested after 30 days of delivery will not be accepted.
2. Eligibility Requirements for All Returns
To be eligible for any return, all items must meet the following criteria:
- Proof of Purchase: The original order number or receipt must be provided.
- Condition: The item must be unused, unwashed, and in the same condition that you received it.
- Original Packaging: The item must be returned with all original tags and packaging intact.
- Authorization: All returns must be submitted through our online portal or by contacting customer service at [email protected] to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns sent without an RMA will be refused.
3. Non-Returnable Items (All Sales Final)
Due to the custom nature of our business and in accordance with California Civil Code § 1723(b), the following items are designated as ALL SALES FINAL and are NOT eligible for return, refund, or exchange, unless they are defective or an error was made by ToastDog (see Section 5):
- Customized Goods: Any product that was personalized, custom-designed, or made to a specific customer request (i.e., custom-uploaded graphics, personalized names, or unique colors not offered as standard stock).
- Items Marked “Final Sale” or “As Is”: Any items explicitly marked as “Final Sale” or “As Is” on the product page or invoice.
- Used/Damaged Items: Any item that has been washed, worn, used, or damaged after delivery.
4. Return Process for Eligible Items
A. Return Shipping:
- Customer Responsibility: The customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning eligible merchandise for a refund or exchange. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. ToastDog is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
- Return Shipping Address: Once your return is authorized, we will provide you with the return address and instructions.
B. Refunds:
- Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification. We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.
- The refund will cover the full purchase price and any applicable sales tax, but will NOT include the original shipping charges, which are non-refundable.
C. Exchanges:
- We only replace items if they are defective or damaged (see Section 5) or if the customer wishes to exchange for a different size of the same item.
- To exchange an item, please contact us for instructions. The customer is responsible for the shipping cost of returning the original item. ToastDog will cover the shipping cost of the replacement item being sent to the customer.
5. Returns for Defects or ToastDog Errors
If a product is defective, damaged, or if we made an error in fulfillment (e.g., wrong size or design printed that was different from the order confirmation), the following applies:
- Notification: You must notify ToastDog within 7 days of receiving the product.
- Evidence: You must provide clear photographic evidence of the defect or error.
- Resolution: Upon verification, ToastDog will, at its sole discretion, offer one of the following:
- A free replacement of the item.
- A full refund, including the original shipping charges.
- Return Shipping (Defect): In the case of a defect or error on our part, ToastDog will provide a prepaid return shipping label for the defective item, or we may instruct you to dispose of the item.
ATTENTION CALIFORNIA CONSUMERS:
Our policy is to NOT give a full cash or credit refund or an equal exchange for all goods returned within seven days of purchase. We offer a 30-day return period on eligible items, but strictly prohibit returns on customized goods and certain other products as defined in Section 3.
This limited return policy is conspicuously displayed on our website footer, on our dedicated “Return Policy” page, and will be included in the order confirmation you receive, consistent with California Civil Code § 1723 requirements for retailers limiting their return period or types of eligible returns.
